Moore's Buffalo Sauce is amazing, hands down the best Buffalo sauce I've ever had. It's not super hot but hot enough. I used to love super hot stuff when I was younger but I just don't enjoy the extreme stuff anymore.
Another good one, while it's not technically a hot sauce it is spicy, is Louisiana Licker from Quaker Steak and Lube. It's basically a hot cajun garlic bbq sauce. I was a cook for a number of years and a few places I worked made their own versions, the lubes version is good but I developed my own recipe based off of different versions.
1 bottle of Heinz Carolina BBQ sauce (cattleman's or sweet baby rays are good substitutes but the Heinz is perfect). Carolina is pretty much a honey mustard BBQ.
1/4 - 1/3 bottle of Cattleman's original BBQ, or your preferred BBQ sauce. You want just enough to darken the color of the sauce and bring out more of the BBQ flavor. I wouldn't use honey BBQ or anything like that, just original standard BBQ sauce. You won't need to add a lot to the Heinz Carolina but it's necessary with other brands.
1 tablespoon of chopped garlic, I sautee mine in a little bit of butter first but that's optional.
1 1/2 teaspoons of cajun spice
1 teaspoon of onion powder
If you want to go spicier add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. I usually don't measure my spices so these are rough estimates, start slow with the ingredients and add a little more if needed. Put it on the stove on low and let it simmer for about 10 - 15 mins, stir it every few mins. Use what you want and bottle up the rest. If you did it right your friends and family will beg you to make bottles up for them. I've had to make batches for people a few times, I wouldn't go too spicy when making for others or a family dinner, you want sweet and spicy. It's really a wing sauce but it's good on other stuff too.
