Is Ramen a Good Prepper Food?

Curious what folks think about keeping ramen in the prep stash. I know it's not exactly nutrient-dense, but it's cheap, filling, and lasts a while.

I've got a few cases stored away, but I'm wondering how long they really last past the date. Also — is there a better way to store them than just keeping the packs in the box?

Anyone rotate ramen regularly or have tricks to make it a little more useful in a long-term situation? They seem to last longer than their expiration date.

I mean, it can be alright, but the nutrition is relatively low, but they do taste good.

I particularly don't care for Ramen but I would store any food for long term storage in vacuum sealed packs. I like peanut butter, good source of protein and fats as well as dried nuts and fruit. Just my opinion

I agree, taste is one thing, but we have to focus on nutrition for sure...especially on something that doesn't necessarily have an expiration date.

Better than starving and they're cheap enough to stockpile, I'd add other things too but it definitely wouldn't hurt to have some put away. My advice? Don't get "Top Ramen" or any of the off brands, stick to the Maruchan or whatever the name brand is, it has a face on it that looks like the pringles guy almost.
