For me, it’s my old Remington 700, its been with me through hunts and rough weather. No matter what else I trade or upgrade, that rifle ain't going anywhere.

The 1831 Springfield rifled musket is a family heirloom. Dads grandmother handed it over with the comment "I've been hauling this damned thing around for years, its your turn now" . It's very possible the gun was at Gettyburg because the great grandfather's 148th Penn. Volunteer Regiment was there.

Well I have a few that I will never sell, but if I had to pick one. My dad’s Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 magnum would be the last one out the door. He bought it back in September 1970.

As a young man I had to sell my guns to pay tuition, i kind of promised my self that if i ever rebuilt my collection I wouldn't sell any. So far I've stuck to that (I'm 77 now). My guns will be handed down to grandkids and they can do as they see fit.

I don’t have anything too sacred. Most of my guns were bought to use. If I were in a pinch, My Dan Wesson custom and one of my smaller CCW guns would be the last to go!

I somehow lucked out in an auction in suburban Dayton years ago. It was rainy, and the entire auction was just a few firearms. There were literally like 4 people there. A widow was selling her husbands gun stuff. I picked up a 4-digit serial number model 41 with the 7 3/8" barrel, muzzle brake, one barrel weight, and original grips in very nice condition. So that's the keeper for me. Also got some books and an unassuming looking metal toolbox chock full of parts, tools, and cleaning supplies. I sold some diopter sights, some reamers and a few other things, so all-in, I have about $500 invested in the gun and tools!
