I sat in my stand probably 30 times and I saw does, saw small bucks, but nothing I wanted to shoot. Season ended and my tag's still in my pocket. It happens but man, it stings. How do you handle coming home empty-handed?

Empty tags suck, there's no way around it. I tell myself I still got time in the woods and learned things for next season. The freezer might be empty, but the time outside still counts.

I'm a deer hunter ,doesn't matter if its a buck or doe. I don't care about rack size, can't eat horns. Yes I've shot some really nice bucks but I don't pass up the opportunity to take a deer because of rack size. At 72 I just glad to be able to get out and enjoy the woods and nature, had many a season coming home empty handed. ENJOY IT FOR WHAT IT IS.
