I picked up a rifle in .300 Blackout last year because I got a good deal. The problem is I've only found ammo for it twice and it was expensive both times. Gun just sits there looking pretty. Anyone else buy something and then realize ammo's impossible to get?

I reload so can usually work something out. But now it's even hard to find components (especially brass) in some calibers. But I do have a rifle for which ammo has never been commonly found. I had a Ruger 77 (tang safety) rebuilt in .308 Norma mag. This was some years ago and I stocked up on brass at the time I had it done.

I couldn't find any for over a year online, when some surplus 7N6 came in I picked up a few cases. Now I'm sitting on a gold mine.

I have a very nice S&W .32long, its almost impossible to find ammo for it here. I've been reloading for it for several years

Stocking up early was smart. Components are almost as tricky now.

That’s timing done right. Surplus finds feel like winning.

Reloading really keeps those classic calibers alive. Good move.
