It's about money and space, not a number

If you can afford it and store it safely, buy what you want. The "too many" thing is really about your budget and storage, not some magic number. Three guns might be too many for one person. Fifty might work fine for someone else..what do you think?

I believe that things like this should depend on your capacity. It's not just about how many you own. It's about the money and being responsible. I've seen guys struggling with just a few guns and others with a ton who have it all under control.

The funny thing is that number changes a lot over time. Certainly as you get older you may have more room and more spending money. In my case I had an FFL for several years and set up at gun shows here in Ohio. You see a lot more guns that may be on your “Want list” than you normally would. In the end, it all averages out I suppose.

I don’t like to have more shooter grade guns than I will get out each year. That’s just me. I love them all, but I hate disrespecting them by not getting them out for an annual shoot and clean….some are better loved at the counter!
