I've reloaded since I was 18, so that would be for almost 60 years now. My first reloading press was (and I still have it) an RCBS jr. press. In all those years I don't remember ever lubing any of the moving parts...or even cleaning it. So while resizing some .357 cases I heard a goan out of it and thought it might be time. A complete disassembly, cleaning, and lube where needed made it made the groan disappear. But it made the press a lot easier to use as well. You would have though at my age I would have known this, and I probably did know it, and would have done this more regularly. Next up is my other press, a much younger RCBS Rockchucker.

Not sure you’re lube of choice, but either NLGI#2 grease or Hornady 1 shot do a good job. Hornady is cleaner, but may not last as long.

i clean with a Qtip around the ram and linkage using clp or hoppes solvent , when it gets gunky. i've got a early model hornady lock and load single stage. that i think is going to be worn out at some point. we used it alot as a swaging slave press. it has a little slop, just before it gets tight at the top of the ram.

i was reading something about using brake cleaner, you want to use the green can, its less hostile on springs . the best case lube i ever found is a swaging grease/wax by a guy called bt sniper. i use that on anything with a neck.
