browning bps

its a longshot, i dont really want to play the gunbroker auction site, i just dont have time or patience for that. something i have been looking for a long time is finding a used browning bps 20 gauge/ 24-26 inch barrel. i'm in union county and have been asking around and looking for one, as i get older, i've been wanting a nice little lite weight pump. every year we run a local trap shoot and have taught alot of youth how to shoot clays. i'm at that point i hunger for a gentlemens pump. i've been looking around in the shops for one and havent been able to find one yet. i'd like to find one with a darker matte finish . of anyone would happen to know of a unloved one locally. i'd appreciate someone sharing a contact. thanks in advance.

I'll check around me and see if any of the shops have one, but they are not all that common. I suspect those that have one don't really want to part with it.

I hear you, it can be tough finding exactly what you want without the auction hassle. Keep checking local shops and classifieds; a Browning BPS 20-gauge with a matte finish will turn up eventually

26 inch is the base model, rarity is 22 or 24. just finding any is tough. i just want a clean plane jane beater. that i can teach right or left handed youth to shoot clays. for some reason i bump into alot of lefties or kids that could be either, think 8-10 years old. if i am blessed and get to live to be a old man, i want to be a curmudgeon. that works and walks deep in the woods,.with my dog, flushing grouse or woodcock and wearing tweed and sipping a occasional rye.

Teaching kids and lefties, walking the woods with a dog, and living that old-school outdoors life is honestly inspiring. Keep hunting!
