Best truck bed investment you've made

I got a tonneau cover two years ago and it's been worth every penny. I should've bought one way sooner. What truck bed accessory or tool has been your best purchase?

My trucks have always had those stiff plastic bed liners, the ones that really hurt when you crawl into the bed to do something (I've always had caps on my truck beds). In the past i'd always put a piece of old carpet ion the floor just to make life easier, and it did except for the scooting around every time something was slid in. For my current truck I bought a ready made floor covering that fastens to the bed liner with plastic clips. Life is a lot easier using that than the piece of carpeting.

I started using the spray in bed liners years ago. The first one was from Ziebart (Rhino) and I liked it the best. It was a rubber type that did not chip and lasted the 15 years I owned the truck without issues. It also stopped things from sliding around in the bed. The second one that I have in my current truck is alright, but not as good as the first. It is slick and allows things to slide. I have also noticed a few places such as bolts where it has chip off. It’s not a huge problem because it a F250 with an aluminum bed. So it won’t rust, it just bugs me.

I’ve also had caps, soft tonneaus and the tri-fold hard tonneaus. The tri-fold has been the best. Easy access to the bed or just a portion of the bed. Easy to take off if I need to haul my Can-Am 4x4.

Trucks normally come with tie down points in the bed. My Ford has additional places to add tie down points and they have come in very handy. They are a good addition to a truck.

Smart upgrade! A secured floor covering makes life in the bed way less frustrating.
