I shot my new Taurus 817. The trigger action is smooth and not at all heavy. I replaced the smaller factory grip with a Hogue Mono Grip. The gun shoots good. Being close to 2lb. It handles 38 ammo very well. Even +P ammo was no big deal. This will be my waistband gun for a while with a J-Frame in my pocket.
