Barrel length preferences

Long barrels look impressive, but they’re rarely worth the tradeoff. After hauling them around enough, I settled on 18–20 inches as the best balance of velocity, handling, and practicality. Anything longer feels unnecessary outside specific roles.

Anything longer just feels like a pain to carry. 18–20 inches hits the sweet spot.

Depends on what I'm shooting. My bench guns are for the most part 26"-27" less the brake. My field guns range from 22" to 26" less the brake. I shoot SML almost exclusively.
