I reload .357 and have been seeing meh results. Using Hp38, winchester small pistol primers and Hornady lead 148 HBWC. I use my brass from factory ammo. Fed. Arms PMC Blazer Hornady. Honestly though, the blazer brass has given me the best results. With about 16 fps standard deviation according to the Garmin.
I'm just using the Hornady pocket scale too. I'm guessing getting a good balance scale would let me get better constancy andower my std dev.
Also, I've noticed that about half the time, the holes on paper have a little Cresent moon of lead to one side or the other. So my bullets must be yawing a bit. My buddy said its due to the gap in the cylender, but I think it's probably the slow twist. Pushing about 800 fps in a 1 in 14 6 inch barrel. I think speeding up the bullet might stabilize it.
Thoughts?
